Root AT&T Galaxy S6/S6 edge/S6 edge plus, Steps

  1. Download odin and root file compatible with our phone model. After downloading extract and save the files on your PC.

2. Now turn your phone off and boot it into Download mode. To get in download mode press and hold Volume down + Home + Power buttons simultaneously. You’ll see a warning screen showing download mode.

3. Now open Odin.exe program on PC and then connect your Galaxy S6 with your computer through USB cable. When Odin will detect your device you’ll see ‘Added!’ message in message box. If it didn’t happen reinstall Samsung USB drivers and try again.

4. Now if your device is detected hit PDA option and navigate for Custom Kernel file and Select it.

5. Confirm flashing by hitting Start button.

6. You will see loading bar on your device, once it’s done Odin will show PASS alert.

7. Now your Galaxy S6 will reboot and first boot will take a little long time so be patient. Congrats! You’ve successfully rooted your Samsung Galaxy S6, to check install root checker.

  1. How long does it take when it restarts.. mine is stuck on the samsung galaxy s6 edge+ start up screen for about 15 minutes now.. how do i unbrick it if it is bricked or what?!?!?!?!

    maybe you can help if you have time?
    its a S6 edge plus At&t carrier I have the phone legally,
    it was given to me after finding it on a beach. contacting the owner who said they had already claimed it as lost. so I know the IMEM or what ever is not good. and i’m ok with that. I really want it for music blutooth in my truck yada yada…. flying my dji drone
    I did not know that doing a factory reset would lock me out ( now I do!!!!)
    I did not save the persons contact info either.
    I have been tring to remove the google lock with no success, Via YouTube , online articles so far yours seems to be the most informative. the rooting was successful but still locked out.
    Any suggestions?

  3. Forgive me i’m really new doing this but want to learn.
    I do not see PDA option on the Odin flash screen.
    am I missing something?
