February is already going to be crazy when it comes to the smartphones. Phones like Samsung Galaxy S10 series, LG G8, Sony Xperia XZ4, Huawei P30 series to name a few, are going to be releasing at MWC this month. And if Xiaomi decides to make an appearance, well its only going to sweeten the deal for us. More competition is always good right?! Well lets break the news: Xiaomi is going to be releasing its first 2019 flagship the Xiaomi Mi 9 on February 20th.
Leaked hands-on photos of the Xiaomi Mi 9 which were released a few days ago, show the devices design in all its notchy-glory. We have an almost bezelless display upfront most probably OLED with a U-shaped notch. The device has trimmed bezels all around the front which look rather good in comparison to the last years Mi 8. An in-display fingerprint reader is also expected to make a show.
Moving on to the back we have a triple camera system in an all glass back panel. No further details about the specific camera hardware is available at the moment. We have a pretty good idea about the internals though.
A Snapdragon 855 paired with 6 or 8GB of RAM will be keeping things super smooth. 128GB of internal will also be included but sadly no expandable storage this time around. But Fawad where are the official renders you promised us? Here:
Official Renders Of The Xiaomi Mi 9
These renders come straight from the horse’s mouth. Xiaomi’s Founder Lei Jun posted these rendered on Chinese social media site, Weibo. As you can see, the device looks pretty sleek. And how ’bout that rainbow effect on the back? Damn!
Xiaomi Mi 9 willl be releasing on 20 February in China. We sure are looking forward to it. Are you? Tell us what you think in the comments down below!
