Xiaomi has been on a role lately. The company recently launched its new Mi 9 and a few new Redmi phones to kick off 2019 in style. New phones aside, the thing we like the most about Xiaomi is its commitment to older devices. Not only does its devices get regular OS updates, they also get regular feature updates. The latest phones to get new features include the Xiaomi Pocophone F1, the Xiaomi Mi 8, and the Mi 8 Pro.
4K @ 60fps
The latest feature update brings with it the ability to capture 4K video footage at 60fps. This is a huge deal for Xiaomi fans who are looking to use their devices for video. 4K at 60fps not only lets you capture extremely detailed videos but also records it in a smooth as silk frame rate of 60 frames per second. Following the release of this video recording feature on the iPhone X and iPhone 8, Android OEMs have been hard at work bringing their devices on par with what Apple has to offer. And finally Xiaomi is looking like its caught up.
The feature under discussion is part of a new MIUI build which is still in beta. This latest MIUI build is available for the Xiaomi Pocophone F1, the Xiaomi Mi 8, and the Mi 8 Pro running the latest OTA firmware. As it is a beta there may still be some bugs and oddities here and there. But overall the beta is quite stable. To download the this MIUI build, follow the links given below :
